Over the past 25 years Island Sound has performed at tens of thousands of events for almost every crowd imaginable. From a solid foundation in private special events we've expanded our offerings to include massive public and municipal celebrations too. You may have seen us at Scotty McCreery's American Idol celebration, heard one of our DJs at the RBC center during a Hurricane's game, seen us providing sound and entertainment for Presidential candidates, danced to our DJs at 606, The Longbranch, Cashmere, George's Garage, G-Loft, Metro 8, Club 9, Vita, Telulas, O'Dwyers, the Berkeley Cafe, and many more bars and clubs.
Students will remember us from college events including NC State's massive Foam Parties and NCAA championship events, Duke University's Grad Campout,, UNC's Granville Towers Foam Parties, NC Central's Homecoming celebration, Peace Colleges Homecoming, and events at Meredith, Shaw, ECU, UNCW and others.
Our DJs hail from across the world and from a wide variety of backgrounds: from a Charleston-born ballroom dance professional, a certified sound engineer and accomplished rock and blues guitarist and producer hailing from Richmond, a native Wilmingtonian with a rich background in dance music and world sounds, a television news and movie producer with an ear for Indie, an underground Hip Hop afficionado from the Outer Banks, a bilingual Colombian club DJ, a Canadian radio personality, and an industry insider from Long Island who specializes in corporate event entertainment.

Mitzvahs
It's your Bar/Bat Mitzvah and you are the star of the show! Island Sound DJ's will provide the energy and enthusiasm to motivate your guests, teach the latest dance moves, coordinate all of your contests/events and get everyone involved.
Corporate
Island Sound prides itself in giving it's customers some of the most enthusiastic, exciting, and experienced DJ/MC's around. In fact, our staff has had tremendous success in putting colleagues and co-workers at ease during corporate functions outside the workplace.
Schools
Island Sound DJ/MCs are chosen to perform at hundreds of School Dances, Jr./Sr. Proms and College Formals throughout the state each year. Our popularity is partly due to our extremely current selection of music.
Karaoke
Island Sound can arrange your Karaoke party, keeping your guests singing all night. During the breaks when your singers are taking a rest we will keep the party going with our vast party music collection.
Video Jockey
Our VJ system will complete any party. It adds an extra element in a combination of sight and sound for a truly complete experience. Your DJ will also set up a video screen and show videos of your favorite songs from the '60s all the way to current music.
Community Events
Island Sound is the Company for Pool Parties. The name says it all. Our Staff is ready to make your pool party feel like a day at the beach.
Foam Parties
More than just good clean fun! You've seen us at University Towers at NC State where we've kept 2500 rolling in mountains of bubbles while dancing to the best DJs in the region.
